Dentsu Singapore hires Rosalynn Tay as CEO

Rosalynn Tay.jpgRosalynn Tay has been appointed Chief Executive Officer for Dentsu Singapore. She takes over from Anthony Kang who leaves the agency after 11 years.

Tay (left)has over 23 years of experience in Asia and Europe working across multiple industries including advertising, fast food, alcohol and spirits, and aviation. With the last ten years in senior management positions, she had a brief stint in DBS Bank as Managing Director, Head of Marketing for Consumer Banking. Prior to that, Tay spent five years at Tiger Airways as Managing Director Singapore, and was part of the team that took the airline public. Tay was also Deputy Managing Director at Leo Burnett Advertising between 2003 and 2005, and Marketing Director, Yum Restaurants International.

 

She will be responsible for setting and driving the strategic development of Dentsu Singapore into a flagship operation particularly in the areas of talent, product and positioning. The agency has a team of 80 employees across account servicing, media planning, creative, sports marketing, activation and support groups. Past and present clients include Canon, Marina Bay Sands, Ministry of Manpower, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore Institute of Technology, Toyota and others.

Tay will be based in Singapore, and report to Dick van Motman, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Dentsu Network/Asia when she joins on July 1, 2013.

Anthony Kang will leave Dentsu Singapore on July 12, 2013 to pursue his own interests. “Anthony has played an integral role at Dentsu Singapore over the last decade. We thank him for his contribution in building the Dentsu brand and wish him all the best in his future endeavours,” said  van Motman.

 

Kang said, “It has been a long and productive stint at Dentsu Singapore. I am leaving the agency in good hands and am looking forward to a short sabbatical before I start on the next chapter in my life pursuing something that I’ve always been wanting to do.
